There are several book versions of bilingual dictionaries, for Spanish. The Encarta software installed at the center also has bilingual dictionaries for several other languages.

	The advantages of a bilingual dictionary is that a word can be explained quickly by looking it up.
	The disadvantage is that the translation may be for a version different from the instance you are looking for, and if you aren't fluent in the other language, this may not be obvious.
	Another disadvantage is that the child may not know the word in the other language either.
	Some educators believe that it's useful to separate the two languages and try not to switch too frequently between the two (which use of a bilingual dictionary requires).
